Park County is currently soliciting Requests for Information (RFIs) for companies interested in partnering with the county to provide a Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Network to the residents in and around Bailey, Colorado. The county is seeking information and interest from a partner who would aid in the design, engineering, construction and operation of a Fiber Optic Network to serve the homes and businesses in Greater Bailey.
The residents of the area are in early stages of forming a Local Improvement District (LID) to assess funds from each property to be served by the FTTH Network adequate to pay for approximately 50% of the estimated network construction costs. A formal Request for Proposals (RFP) Process is expected to follow assuming the LID formation is successful.
During the network design and construction phase, the selected partner would be expected to provide directly or through sub-contractors including but not limited to: Design Services, Engineering services, Construction and Construction oversight Services, Testing Services and All additional funds necessary to complete the network.
At the end of construction, the selected partner would take ownership of the network and begin providing services at competitive prices.
During the network operation phase the selected partner would be expected to conduct all activities necessary to provide modern broadband connectivity and services including but not limited to: Broadband Internet service, IP Television service, Network Operations, Physical and Logical Network Maintenance.
