Park County shall receive sealed bids on the bid date referenced above for a complete workscope to furnish and install a new radio communication tower to service the new 911 Call Center to be constructed in Fairplay, Colorado. The erected steel 100 foot tower shall be built in the fenced utility court adjacent to the new building data/telecom rooms. The tower workscope shall include engineered design of the concrete foundation and steel framed structure located in the designated utility court layout space, engineered in compliance with all building code regulations including IBC 2006/NFPA-780 current edition and shall also be in compliance with current OSHA regulations regarding safety required for the staging and field erection of the tower. The tower shall be properly identified and registered with all inspecting, licensing agencies and jurisdictions of interest. All record information shall be submitted to Park County upon completion of the "as-built" tower. The selected tower contractor shall coordinate with Park County's communication contractor with regard to communications equipment that will be mounted on the tower steel framing. Mandatory response of interested bidders shall be no later than June 23, 2011 by 5:00 pm. All interested tower contractors shall direct response information to Kathy Boyce, Park County Finance Director. . Response information shall include the following: Key personnel assigned to this project including previous experience with similar tower projects Business Profile Resume including Insurance/Financial information of erection contractor. Include years in business as a steel tower construction entity, etc. Ability to provide Bid Bond/Payment and Performance Bond for the entire project workscope Experience working with radio communication contractors/9ll Call Center radio communication personnel Experience in providing lightning protection grounding for the steel tower to meet all building codes and NFPA-780 Standard for lightning protection and Motorola R56 giudelines for communication sites. Park County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informalities in bids, and accept the bid that, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest of the Board and of the County of Park, State of Colorado.
