Park County, CO - The 403 Fire continues to burn in Park County, 8 miles South of Lake George on the South Park Ranger District of the Pike National Forest. Firefighters are making progress and the fire is now 65% contained.
Today hand-crews and engines concentrated on building depth to strengthen the containment lines. Crews continue to improve the fire line and secure the perimeter by putting out hot spots and smoldering stump holes that were identified by the Multi-Mission Aircraft yesterday.
