The fire is 12 acres with 50% containment at this time. Residents on Payne Gulch Road and Happy Top Trail remain under mandatory evacuation until 100% containment is reached. The Shawnee VFW shelter location is closed. Residents in need of shelter should contact the Salvation Army at 719-838-0140. Pre-evacuation of Brookside and Payne Gulch Trailhead remain in effect.
