Guideline to Paying Your Taxes

Paying Your Taxes

  • We do not bill your mortgage lender. While mortgage companies may work with tax service firms to determine property tax amounts, the county does not provide bills directly to the mortgage lender.
  • If your taxes are paid into an escrow account as part of your monthly payment to your mortgage lender, it is your responsibility to verify that your taxes have been paid.
  • The Treasurer is not responsible for erroneous payments. If in doubt, please check with your mortgage lender to determine who is responsible for the tax payment. Failure to do so could result in delinquent taxes and/or delayed processing of your account.

Cash

  • Accepted in our office only.
  • Do Not put cash in the mail.

Checks

  • Make Checks Payable to: "Park County Treasurer" for the exact amount.
  • Checks must be drawn on a United States Bank account and payable in US Dollars.
  • Do not send multiple checks for a single account.
  • Please be aware that your payment check may be converted to a 1 time electronic payment and your checking account could be debited the same day payment is received.
  • Please submit the appropriate coupon with your payment to assure proper credit of your payment.
  • Mail to: Park County Treasurer, PO Box 638, Fairplay, CO 80440-0638.
