Can I camp on my property?
Yes, as long as you do so for less than 6 months a year, do not permanently affix the camping unit to the ground, and do not leave the camping unit on the lot when not in daily use (unless the lot is equal to or larger than 35 acres). Can I leave my recreational vehicle on my property year around?
No. According to Article IV Definitions, camping is "Temporary, non-commercial lodging by a lot(s) owner and his guests. No tent, trailer, recreational vehicle, or other camping unit may be set upon a foundation, permanently affixed to the ground, left on the lot when not in use, or be occupied for more than six months out of a 12-month period."

Can I put a mobile home on my property?
No. According to Article IV Definitions, Park County does not allow a mobile home to be used as a principal or accessory building in any zone district except for the mobile home park or recreational vehicle park and campground zone districts.

Can I have animals, such as dogs, cats, small livestock, and large livestock?
Yes. See
Article V, Division 7
, Section 5-701, pages 108 through 111. This explains how many animals and kind of animals you can have in each zone district.
6.
What can I do when someone trashes their property with inoperable vehicles, tires, and other trash and debris?
Ordinance 6 does not allow for the accumulation of inoperable vehicles, tires, trash, and debris on properties. The property owner can be fined or can receive jail time depending on the offense. Please contact

7.
What can be done if a neighbor has a septic system that fails ?
Under Appendix L (Individual Sewage Disposal System Regulations) all residences are required to have septic systems. They are required to be maintained. Effluent is not allowed to come to the surface or be dumped onto the ground or waterways. These are considered serious violations. Depending on the severity property owners may be given a minimum of 24-hour notice to repair the problem. Please contact
