CSU Extension Advisory Committee

Park County Colorado State University Extension



Empower Coloradans to address important and emerging community issues using dynamic, science-based educational resources.


Serves as a liaison between the citizens of Park County, the Board of County Commissioners and CSU. The Advisory Committee advises the county commissioners and staff of CSU Extension on needs for educational outreach in the county and shares information about Extension programs with county citizens.


  • Understands or is willing to learn about the core program areas of the CSU Extension office in Park County.
  • Assists in identifying the needs and concerns of the community and county related to natural resources, horticulture, agriculture, youth development, and family and consumer sciences.
  • Provides input to the CSU Extension Director regarding the development and implementation of educational programs and priorities within the CSU Extension’s expertise.
  • Suggests resources and delivery methods to address identified priorities within the local communities.
  • Represents and considers the diversity of the entire local community
  • Think outside the box to bring new and innovative programs to the citizens of Park County.
  • Engages in needs assessment and evaluations to advise the Park County Extension Office of emerging county issues and collectively problem solve and recommend courses of action for any issues that arise. 
  • Effectively communicates the benefits and impacts of CSU Extension programs and services with decision makers and citizens.
